About

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”  Joshua 1:9

Courage to Go the Distance is starting as a place to keep those I know and love (and those of you skulking in the cyber-shadows) informed about my adventure this summer.  After this summer I’m not certain what will become of it though the title is certainly befitting for here forward.

This world is not my home, I’m just passing through.  God was merciful enough to send His only Son to this world to die in my place that I might 1) believe on His name and have everlasting life 2) as a result of that belief never face the wrath of God and 3) experience this world to the fullest and enjoy all He has created with the knowledge that something far better and more wonderful lies beyond here.

I am currently enrolled in Dallas Theological Seminary’s Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling Program.  This spring marked the end of my third semester, which for me is about halfway.

I am a transplant to the DFW Metroplex from Wichita, Kansas and will always be a Kansas girl at heart.  To me there is nothing more scenic than flat land, ripe wheat fields, thunderstorm laden skies, beautiful prairie sunsets, and cloudless expanses of starry heavens.
